This is a Francis turbine. Its application: The Francis turbine is a large andmedium hydropower stations with water head of 30m-700m and small and medium Francis turbine liedinhydropower stations with water head of 20m-400m, used for driving the rotation surface of hydraulic generator to generate electric power. Structure feature: Water flowing through runner is radial, the same as the guiding mechanism. The gate opening can be adjusted with the change of load. Runner is made up of upper canopy, band and a certain amount of streamlined blades fixed between them. The lead-in chamber is generally adopted with metal spiral casing or concrete spiral casing. Suction tube is made up of right-cone diffusion tube, specially shaped elbow tube and diffusion. The elbow tube of small unit is called syphon, formed in uniform cross section and variable section.
